A Heart, so strong and full of life that does not want to be trapped in a cage, but it wants to be free, explore the world, have experiences, find love and share love… It is pumping so hard that it is escaping from its shell, or better, our thoughts that most of the time are holding us and our hearts back, preventing us from exploring, experiencing new feelings and having a taste of what it means to break free.
This is what ‘Heart Escaping a Shell’ is all about, a beating heart fighting to be free in the world, with no false beliefs and weird and foolish preconceptions… “Just” a heart that makes experiences and enjoys the world so big all around us.
Huge thanks to Don Chilton, conch shell player and composer based in Newport, Rhode Island, for taking part in this journey with his… shells! What else to create the right harmonies around drums, handpan and all those ‘heart-beating’ instruments? Shells of course… and sharing the didgeridoo beats as well. An awesome musical journey and great musical collaboration, that became friendship and a deep connection.
