Dancepan is not the usual “handpan song”, and it’s definitely not trying to follow the classic handpan stereotype either.
Don’t get me wrong: I deeply love the instrument’s traditional sound, its mystical atmosphere, and the healing aura it naturally carries… But at the end of the day, the handpan is still a musical instrument, a voice meant to be explored beyond its comfort zone.
So why not blend it with different genres and rhythms to create something new?
Why not let it speak with a different energy while keeping the same emotional depth and charisma?
Dancepan is a new evolution of the musical direction I’ve been developing over time, blending the handpan’s organic and emotional nature with more rhythmic, energetic, and genre-crossing elements. It’s an exploration of how the handpan can evolve outside its usual context while still remaining authentic to its soul.
Maybe this is just the beginning of a new direction for the instrument. We’ll see.
